OUR TEAM
Rev. Adam Tobey

Having trained hundreds of people in Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor courses in both in-person and virtual environments, Adam lives to introduce a love of the outdoors to people of all ages. He believes strongly in the continued need for outdoor recreation ethics education, and serves Leave No Trace as the Washington State Advocate. Adam and his spouse Catherine serve a small, progressive Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation in Spokane, WA as co-pastors, is a Leave No Trace Level 2 Instructor, and is a Wilderness First Responder. Aside from spending time outdoors trail running, playing disc golf (often while running), gardening, climbing, and backcountry skiing, Adam enjoys reading (current reads: Stephen King's The Dark Tower series, Erik Olin Wright's Envisioning Real Utopias, and the annual listen/reads of as many works of Tolkien as possible), and finds punk, jazz, and hip-hop to continue to make their way to the tops of his streaming algorithm.
